How To Crack 3 – Step Recruitment and Selection Process of Top Tech Companies?

Most of the tech companies in India has a three-step selection process to find out the best candidate who can add more value to their company growth and support in all the cases. Hiring managers mostly look for analytical ability, leadership qualities, working with a team, communication skills, a step towards innovation, excellent academic background and professional competence. Interestingly, they prefer candidates who have ‘learnability’ means an ability to derive knowledge from others or any experiences and try to implement them in the ongoing projects. This is the important key in the selection process.

When you apply for a company, make sure you check the eligibility criteria. If you feel, you match the eligibility criteria, then go on! However, you will be called for the interview on the basis of your profile and you will need to undergo a three-step recruitment process which includes an aptitude test, technical interview and HR interview.

Aptitude Test

Mostly aptitude tests will have 3 sections with time limits and cutoffs for each. Logical and analytical reasoning, quantitative ability and verbal ability are included in this 3 section aptitude test.

  1. Reasoning

This section contains questions of easy to moderate level. Questions are based on major topics like data sufficiency, visual reasoning, data interpretation, syllogism, statement reasoning, etc.. Okay! make a note of time: You’ll be given 25 minutes to answer 15 questions.

  1. Quantitative Aptitude

This section will have questions on time, speed and distance, permutation and combination, number series, formulae, analytical puzzles, algebra, probability etc. Well, these questions will be of moderate to high level. You will have 35 minutes for 10 questions.

  1. Time Management

Time is a very important factor in this level. You will need to answer 40 questions in 35 minutes. Most of the companies plan fill-in-the-blanks, synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, vocabulary, sentence correction, etc.. Interestingly, you can expect no negative marking in this section.

Technical Round

In this round, you will be generally asked questions based on your CV. Don’t worry, your confidence levels, communication skills can crack this round. But as this is technical round, you need to be confident in at least one programming language, information about operating systems and up to date over the latest emerging technologies are some interesting topics you need to be thorough.

Tips: When you are attempting an interview, try to select an area of interest which is closely related to that company field and it is active in.

HR Round

If you are done with the technical round, then think of HR interview. Here, HR will majorly look into your qualities to see, if you are fit for the company or not. HR may interview about your background, your hobbies and even your view of life. Be confident, polite with good communication skills. Always maintain an eye contact, be clear and stay well mannered. Mostly, the interview panel will be quite friendly. So need to worry and get anxious.

Give the best shot in your next interview – Best Of Luck!
